Water filtration in Kent, WA.

Whole-home carbon filtration, softening and RO drinking water for Kent homes, installed starting at $3,500. Transparent, all-in pricing quoted before any work starts.

The City of Kent draws on 16 wells, 2 springs and water from the upper Green River. Its named sources include Clark Springs, Kent Springs, Armstrong Springs, the East Hill well, the Seven Oaks well and the 208th Street and 212th Street wellfield. All city sources are chlorinated, and the city's 2023 report put the average chlorine level at 0.94 parts per million.

Not every Kent address is on city water. Kent's water system plan notes that parts of the city fall within the service areas of Highline Water District, Soos Creek Water and Sewer District, Lake Meridian Water District and the City of Renton. Within Kent's own system, hardness measured at the sources ranged from 49 to 130 parts per million in 2023, so it depends on which source feeds your part of town.

For homes on a private well, iron and manganese are the local minerals to know about. In a USGS study of southwestern King County, which takes in Kent, 15 percent of sampled wells were above the federal guideline for iron and 44 percent above the guideline for manganese. Kent itself treats its 208th Street and 212th Street wellfield to remove both.

What Kent homes are dealing with

Most of this region's water is soft, so the first thing Kent homeowners tend to notice is taste: chlorine at the kitchen tap, or water that just does not taste the way they want it to. Where a city draws on wells, what comes out of the tap can differ from the mountain supply next door.

Whatever your situation, the next step is the same: we pull the public data on your water, tell you exactly what your home needs, and install it for one all-in price.
