Water filtration in Bellevue, WA.

Whole-home carbon filtration, softening and RO drinking water for Bellevue homes, installed starting at $3,500. Transparent, all-in pricing quoted before any work starts.

Bellevue Utilities buys its water through the Cascade Water Alliance, which purchases it from Seattle Public Utilities for its member cities and districts. The water comes from the Cedar River and South Fork Tolt River watersheds in the Cascade foothills. Cedar water is treated with ozone and ultraviolet light, and Tolt water with ozone and filtration.

In 2025 the city's chlorine level averaged 0.88 parts per million. The city's 2026 water quality report lists hardness at approximately 1.41 grains per gallon and describes the water as very soft, so in most Bellevue homes the question is taste and chlorine, not scale. The alliance also owns Lake Tapps, which the city names as a possible future source of drinking water.

What Bellevue homes are dealing with

Most of this region's water is soft, so the first thing Bellevue homeowners tend to notice is taste: chlorine at the kitchen tap, or water that just does not taste the way they want it to. Where a city draws on wells, what comes out of the tap can differ from the mountain supply next door.

Whatever your situation, the next step is the same: we pull the public data on your water, tell you exactly what your home needs, and install it for one all-in price.
